About Casey
Hello, I'm Casey! I've always found learning languages fun and incredibly challenging. I want to bring what I enjoyed with me and break down those difficulties for future learners. I've tutored unofficially from high school, however, I returned to this in adult life. Within my close to 3 years of tutoring, I've narrowed down my approach. I aspire to make sure pupils follow me every step of the way and that they never leave my sessions confused. I want to encourage confidence in the sessions and the ability to learn independently. I've tutored maths, French, and English as a first and second language. All this experience combined has allowed me to create lesson plans and resources I'm confident will help support you!

My sessions are available for pupils from the age of 11. I cover from the basics to an intermediate level using resources and homework I have created myself. I will personalise all work for individual learners after a consultation session. This includes changing the order of materials, the types of feedback, and the types of resources I use. My sessions will be an hour long, however, I can be flexible. I strongly believe in providing pupils with scaffolding to encourage independence, being very friendly and firm, and I pride myself on breaking down complex topics. I have 1 year of experience of being a personal tutor, and 2 years of experience in tuition companies. I have tutored pupils of all ages, needs, and abilities through this. Perfect! Casey is friendly and engaging and clearly experienced in pitching and designing the most appropriate learning plan for each student. Casey is a wonderful tutor who is easy to get along with so lessons with her are very comfortable! She explains concepts very well and frequently checks in with you to make sure you are following on whatever topic is being discussed. Her lessons are clear and leave you feeling confident that you are closer to speaking fluent Japanese after every session.
Casey is kind, clear and professional. She enjoys working with children and has a very engaging personality which helps a child to relax and enjoy the experience.
