About Arran
As both a French tutor and an ESL (English as a second language) tutor, I understand the commonalities and differences between English and French grammar and vocabulary, which makes language learning look a lot less daunting or overwhelming to students. I've spent time immersing myself in the French language and culture, and have found ways of showing people not just what's in a textbook or how to memorize, but how native French speakers use the language on a daily basis. Whether you want to pass an exam, prep for an upcoming trip, or learn French for the first time, we'll find a system that works for you!

In lessons with me, you will have an individualized approach based off of what you'd like to learn, or what you might need help with. Our first session will be a free 30 min consultation to establish that approach. Things we can accomplish together include:
-Creating study guides for high school and middle school French classes
-Learning phonetics and pronunciation to assist in accent reduction
-Having conversations in basic or advanced French
-Improving reading comprehension and listening comprehension skills
- Learning basic alphabet and vocabulary to get started in learning French
Whatever you may need with learning French, I'm happy to work with you to create a curriculum that reaches your goals and aids in language learning and retention.

Sessions following our consultation will be a 60 min lesson with a fee of 23 dollars per session. Rates are subject to change at any time.
If you are taking French classes elsewhere and are hiring me for additional help, I encourage students to bring their homework and study materials to our session.
