• 1) Você fala fluentemente esta língua por causa das suas origens ou porque um professor o(a) motivou a aprendê-la?

  English has always been part of my life. I studied English and English literatures at university to become an English teacher and I have been teaching English since 2013. I can't see myself doing anything else. I just love teaching. Helping students to quickly achieve their goals is my greatest reward.

• 2) Cite uma pessoa (da atualidade, histórica ou fictícia) que, na sua opinião, representa bem a cultura da língua que ensina!

  Shakespeare, for the great influence he has had on the language we speak today.

• 3) Existe alguma palavra, expressão ou tradição típica que você goste particularmente?

  Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Because even though it may sound quite atrocious, it will always make you sound precocious. It's probably the biggest invented word you'll ever hear. I just love how smart we sound when we pronounce it... :P (Obs.: If you don't know this word, you should definitely watch Mary Poppins.)

• 4) Por qual motivo, aprender esta língua é importante (seja no âmbito escolar, profissional ou pessoal)?

  We can have access to much more when we speak a foreign language and English is the international language (lingua franca), which makes it quite essential in today's world.

• 5) Qual a maior dificuldade desta língua e como facilitar este processo de aprendizagem?

  Speaking is usually the major difficulty students face and the communicative approach has proven to be the best way to make learners improve their oral skills quickly and effectively.

• 6) Pode partilhar alguma história e/ou curiosidade engraçada relacionada à sua profissão ou as suas aulas particulares?

  When students mispronounce some words or translate things too literally from their mother tongues, we often have some funny moments together. Saying "I love the bitch" instead of "I love the beach" is a classical. ^^'

• 7) Queremos saber mais sobre si, conte-nos um pouco sobre as suas viagens e aventuras.

  I love traveling and discovering new cultures. I am very grateful for having had the opportunity of living in different countries and having students from different backgrounds. As far as I'm concerned, one of the best parts of learning a language is to have a privileged access to a new culture.

• 8) O que faz de si um Superprof (além do poder de comunicar em várias línguas :-P) ?

  I focus on students' needs, giving them the tools they need to succeed. Besides being an English teacher, I'm also a linguist and a polyglot. I know how we can learn a language more effectively and I want not only to teach you how to learn English, but also how to make English part of your life. You'll see that learning English can be very pleasurable!
