About Simon
I am someone who loves to travel. I have been to many countries around the world and I have been learning English and Spanish during my different trips. I lived in Spain, Ireland, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. Thanks to all of those trips I started loving learning languages. It helped me communicate with most people around the world. When I was in Australia I met a lot of locals that wanted to improve their French who I helped improve their speaking skills. This is when I started enjoying teaching. I then lived in Ireland for three years and I started giving lessons to Irish people too as a side hustle. When I moved to New Zealand I started giving a lot more lessons. I made teaching my main job. I worked on two different online platforms. I am as well a trained chef. I obtained two hotel and catering diplomas, therefore I have a lot of experience in all the vocabulary related to those jobs.

I believe in learning by talking and while having fun. I usually base myself on different conversation topics. I use news articles to study together. They often contain new words that are useful. I like using videos as well to help with listening skills and identify words that are not understood. The fact of using videos helps listening to different voices and therefore get yourself ready to speak to anyone who speaks French. I teach students of any age that already have an intermediate to advanced level to help them reach fluency. I usually give half an hour to an hour lesson. I believe that anything any longer you lose concentration and it doesn't help.
