About Matilda
I am a friendly, energetic tutor whose lessons will feel less like an academic chore, and more like a fun and interactive environment which promotes understanding the language, as opposed to rote learning and accepting facts. This is particularly pertinent with a language such as French, with many exceptions. I have tutored French for the past five years, with students from the ages of seven to seventeen.

Languages are often an 'Achilles' heel for many top students, and as a dyslexic, I have recognised the importance of adapting my study methods to suit my learning requirements. I have an abundance of specialised Anki and Quizlet sets, and am well versed with the GCSE and A Level exam boards. I believe practice, input and immersion make the language learning process as enjoyable as possible. I dropped four marks over the whole of the GCSE, attaining a Grade 9. I fulfilled my Durham University offer of A*AA and am now pursuing an undergraduate course in Modern Languages and Cultures, specialising in French and Italian.
