About Marcus
I am the founder of The Australian Performing Arts Conservatory. I served as CEO for 25 years. In that time I created the degrees and advanced diplomas for all areas of study for Acting, Film Production and Song & Dance. I taught subjects in all streams at all levels including Acting, Directing and Writing. I was also the founder and original President of the Society of Australian Fight Directors. I've worked as an actor, director and producer and fight choreographer commercially. I will not waste time teaching what has no practical value. Anything I teach will relate directly to either gaining work or doing work for an actor, director, writer or producer. I'm currently self employed writing a novel for publication but am interested in tutoring those who wish to learn what is really valid. Many tutors in performing arts are what we use to call 'Mystics' who like to make the profession sound impossible to explain. I have never hired any teacher who approaches arts training in this way. All of these pathways are craft first before the word 'art' can be applied. Come learn the craft. Then we will see.
