About Vijay Daniel

I'm a State player, having played for over 15 years. I personally play point guard/shooting guard but would be able to refine any position to present-day NBA level. I've won MVP in the league that I played in at age 14! And I'm a Master's professional.

About the lesson

I approach each topic in a practical way. I will be training alongside you! Will be pushing you till we both achieve your goal together. Creating meaningful relationship with your coach is important to consider them as your mentor.

What age did you start playing sport? Tell us about this time or moment in your life.
I started playing basketball when I was 6 years old, being a kid I was able to absorb so much from my seniors just by watching them play.
What are your favourite sports; those that you practice at a high level, a simple hobby, and a sport that you'd still like to discover?
All time favorite sports are basketball, Field Hockey and Archery. I'd also like to discover a little more of badminton as well :)
What gives you the motivation and passion to pursue your sport?
My competitiveness and drive, the WANT to win and to just experience the joy and happiness with my teammates sure is addictive.
Do you have a sporting achievement that you're particularly proud of?
Winning the state championship at age 14, always remains a testament to God's grace and my hard work.
How have your achievements and challenges made you a better sportsperson?
Being humble, as a sportsperson discipline is something that you pursue both on and off the basketball court. Staying humble and playing with "togetherness" in mind is very important.
If you had to go for a jog with a famous athlete, who would you choose? And what questions would you ask them?
Would be Michael Jordan, my first question would be to give me his childhood diet regimen and training modules (so I can pass it on to my students), and following that is how to preserve that strong mindset to always want to win.
How do you help people stay motivated?
By encouraging them to realise that we learn from our mistakes and every mistake is an opportunity to get better! If we don't fail, we won't realize how much we can grow.
What makes you a Superprof in sports?
Prayer, hard work, super supportive family! That's all you need to succeed in life, not just in sports!
