About Amy
I am a former special education teacher with a master's degree and over 5 years of direct classroom experience. I hold a current teaching license for Comprehensive Special Education grades K-12. I have experience teaching and tutoring students with and without disabilities. I have had the great honor of watching young children take the first step into becoming readers.

I believe that teaching is a balance between utilizing research-based methodology and recognizing the unique learning characteristics of each student. Teaching foundational literacy to elementary age students grades K-4 is my expertise, although I have experience working with students through high school.
