Teaching Style?
Mix of "old school" with new. Things like repetition and memorization have a place in our learning toolboxes alongside new concepts and ideas of today. For example, if I am working with a student who is struggling with algebra, we will absolutely be warming up with some "basics" drills to help build the fluency that algebra demands.
What are lessons like?
That depends on you! If you want to work on an overall skill like reading or math, I will happily create a lesson plan and trajectory. Our first lesson will include a discussion about goals and needs, which we will revisit regularly to ensure that you are getting what you need.
