My approach emphasizes eliciting student input and being responsive to it. Together we will establish our learning objectives and implement learning strategies accordingly. A typical lesson plan will therefore depend on the nature of the assignment and material, incorporating tools that will best support the student’s learning objectives. I prioritize presenting material to students in the way that is most accessible for them, be that audio, visual, written, or otherwise.
My strengths as a tutor are communicating difficult concepts in accessible language. My goal is to listen, meet the needs of my student’s learning abilities, and help students to succeed in their assignments, tests, projects, and beyond.
I offer lessons to students at the middle school, high school, and collegiate level. For middle schoolers, I can tutor any general or life science course with students of all levels of ability. For highschoolers, I can tutor in biology, biotechnology, environmental science, and psychology. At the college level, I can assist with psychology, neuroscience, molecular biology, biochemistry, and microbiology courses.
