I believe every student can succeed in math when concepts are explained clearly and at the right pace. My goal is to make lessons approachable, reduce anxiety, and help students gain confidence as well as skills.
I start by asking students where they feel strong and where they struggle. I explain concepts step by step, using real-world examples whenever possible. I encourage questions, break problems into manageable pieces, and adapt my style depending on whether a student is a visual learner, needs lots of practice, or benefits from discussion.
Typical Lesson Plan:
Quick review of previous material to reinforce learning
Introduction of a new concept with clear explanations
Guided examples worked through together
Independent practice with feedback and encouragement
Wrap-up: summary of key points and preview of the next step
