About Ashley
I grew up liking math, it didn’t always come easy or naturally and I did have to work at it but I liked the concept of having a problem and finding a solution. I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where I majored in Mathematics as well as played basketball. I graduated and became a high school math teacher. I taught Algegra 1, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus. After my second daughter was born, I became a stay at home mom and walked away from teaching to be with my kids. I am excited about being able to still connect with students and math teaching through tutoring.

When most people think of math, they cringe. I became a math teacher because I loved changing students’ ideas about math. After becoming a mom and walking away from teaching, I missed the feeling of helping students realize their potential with math. I want to continue to help others have those “aha” moments where the lightbulb goes on and they finally understand the concepts they are learning. I tailor my teaching to the student and meet them where they are at in their learning journey. We will make goals together and work towards them as a team.
