About George
I am a passionate English teacher who has taught the whole wider spectrum of students with every need imaginable. I want to build confident students who will take their skills into the life beyond the classroom. I have been teaching for over 20 years and I have been a Head of English for the last 5 years.

I personalise my approach depending on the needs of the student. I use overlearning / mastery to help embed learning. I have taught KS3 - KS5 and adult learners. I like to start with the fundamental skills to make sure students have a solid grounding in the subject. Building confidence each session by aggregating improvements across skills.
No two people learn in the same way, and I work hard to understand the areas of weakness for each student and then to target them.
