About Elizabeth
My name is Elizabeth, or Liz, and I studied Music Education at Florida State University for 2 years. Although that program wasn't the right fit for me, I will always love playing the flute and teaching music to as many people as possible. My approach to teaching is always about enjoyment because I believe you absorb more when you are at ease and having a good time with what you are studying. Lessons with me are no pressure, especially for beginners, and my main goal is to help you get where you want to be and find a love for music!

The most important thing about learning and practicing music is to have fun! I primarily teach from brand new beginners to about a middle school level, so I always start with the basics of flute and reading music, but it can change based on each student's knowledge. After warming up with scale work, depending on the needs of the student, we will jump into music they want to work on or music I can provide to help them continue their flute journey. At the end of the lesson, we will discuss what to work on until next time, and jump right back in when the time comes!
