About Helena

Hi! I’m Helena. I’ve always really liked learning languages, which is why I double majored in Psychology and French, with a minor in Spanish.

I worked as a Teaching Assistant for a first-year university Spanish course, where I helped students understand the basics and feel more comfortable participating.

I also traveled to Spain last year and really enjoyed it—it made me appreciate the language a lot more outside of a classroom setting.

I’m easy to talk to and patient, and I try to keep things simple and comfortable so you don’t feel stressed while learning.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed for complete beginners or early learners who want a supportive and flexible approach. I focus on adapting each session to your goals—whether that’s improving conversation, understanding grammar, or preparing for class.

A typical lesson includes a mix of simple explanations, guided practice, and speaking exercises so you can actively use what you learn. I aim to keep lessons clear, interactive, and low-pressure, so you can build confidence step by step.

What sets me apart is my experience as a university Teaching Assistant, where I learned how to break down concepts and support students at different levels. I’m patient, approachable, and focused on helping you feel comfortable learning Spanish.
