About Julie
I have over 20+ years teaching/tutoring/homeschooling. I am proficient teaching all levels of math and most sciences. I enjoy working most with students on a one-on-one basis, and particularly enjoy teenagers and young adults. I also have experience teaching students with special needs since my daughter, whom I homeschooled for several years, has special needs. I have a unique background, coming from an engineering field, and like to integrate real-world events into my lessons.

What makes me truly unique is that I can tutor practically any math or science subject in high school up into college. I have had students for years and they know they can depend on me in the next year because I know those subjects as well.
I have learned many shortcuts over the years that help me explain concepts better to students. I try to give them the "big picture" and show them, for example, how a concept in one subject will build into the next.
My sessions usually center around what the student is struggling with in class. If they do not have any homework, I can ask them the topic and easily pull up problems for us to work on.
