About Alexander
Former computer science major who has transitioned into construction management. Spent a majority of my college life at UW and am now undergoing ASU's online program. Regardless of the switch, I have managed to stay within the STEM field. Math is a subject that I constantly implement in my study and work.

As I'm currently a student myself, I better resonate with the struggles that other current students have when learning relevant material. I am able to conform and comply with the student's specific needs for the lesson plan to be suitable. I encourage active participation to establish comprehension and aid in reinforcing their learning.
A lesson will begin with a quick preview of the material to ensure retention. As I engage with the student, I evaluate their understanding of the topic. I am then able to provide practice problems to their respective difficulty. As we work through practice problems together, I gradually increase the difficulty when appropriate. I also utilize visual diagrams to relay the material into consumable content that is relatable to the student.
I had prior experience as a tutor by helping high school students whilst being employed at Kumon. This has provided me with a foundation in working with students of various ages. I emphasize patience, consistency, and encouragement, helping students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. As someone who has struggled with mathematics, I am able to resonate with students.
