About Eli
I love working with kids! Building positive relationships and confidence, focusing on maintaining good mental health and well-being in my students is what I value above all else.
My educational background includes: a bachelor's degree in psychology, French and linguistics; a diploma in Social Service Work; and a certificate in teaching ESL/EFL.
I taught English in a classroom for a number of years and switched to private tutoring to focus on making more of an impact on individual children's lives.
Another great passion of mine is rock climbing, and coaching youth programs is another way in which I proudly foster teamwork, confidence and positive relationships.

My teaching philosophy emphasizes providing student-focused personalized lessons, adapting to their communication style and presenting material at their own pace to meet their individual needs.
My focus is on children from grades 1 - 8, and I have years of experience as a literacy tutor for children with specific learning disorders.
I aim to fill gaps wherever needed and expand on material with practical examples/questions to deepen comprehension and encourage real life application.
