About Peighton
A first-year forensic biology student at Trent University. I like baking, traveling, and telling goofy jokes. I believe in student-led learning. I have four years of experience tutoring both math and science for students in elementary and secondary levels. I offer a variety of tutoring sessions including online. I have had experience with all types of students including those with IEPs and special needs.

In my lessons, I focus on helping students become active, independent learners while providing the guidance they need to succeed. I believe that true understanding comes when students can explore, question, and discover answers for themselves, rather than simply being told what to do. My teaching style is rooted in kinesthetic learning — encouraging hands-on activities, movement, and real-world application to make concepts stick. By combining guidance with independence, I help students build confidence, critical thinking skills, and a genuine love for learning. I want to help students develop the same love of math and science that I have cultivated in myself.
