About Mackarena
My name is Mackarena Díaz. I am an English teacher, Chilean, graduated with honors from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso and I teach private lessons of English and Spanish as a foreign language in Concepción. I have a bachelor's degree in education and a bachelor's degree in English language and literature, major in Applied Linguistics and a masters degree in Applied Linguistics (c) from the University of Concepción. My level of English is C2 certified (advanced-native). I have 4 years of experience working in schools, and universities. I teach at any language level (basic, medium, advanced), in any subject (language, history, science, etc.) for any age (children, adults) and for specific purposes (academic reading, travel, standardized tests such as KET , TOEFL IBT, CAE, among others). The methodology that I use when I teach private lessons will depend on the objective (why do you want to learn English or Spanish? travel, speaking, a test, etc.). In general terms, I can say that I like to take a placement test at the beginning of course. This gives me an idea of the level of the target language that the student has and with this instrument I can prepare the course. All the materials that I use are updated, and graded or authentic (depending on the learner's need). In addition, all clases are prepared following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
