About Julia
Hello, This is Julia. I graduated in 2012 with a BSc First Class Honors in Mathematics from Lancaster University, a UK top-10 university. With an average of 87/100, I was the second-highest student of my graduating class. I am passionate about my subject and believe that every child can succeed in mathematics with the right guidance. I am a friendly, open-minded person and I am good at listening to the needs of others. As a teacher, I am patient, dedicated and encouraging. I have a wide variety of teaching experience, including both classroom teaching and tutoring. I have experience teaching primary and secondary school level math in the UK, both in the classroom and as a one-on-one tutor. I also took part in the JET Programme (Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme), assisting English teaching for three years in Japanese Elementary and Middle schools. I currently live in Japan and I am mother to three children. I am mostly taking care of the home, but I am excited to get back into tutoring math in my spare time.
