About Ria
Hi! I’m an Economics student at the University of Bath with a strong passion for maths and economics, and I love helping students gain confidence in subjects that can sometimes feel challenging. Having recently been through these exams myself, I understand not only the content but also how important exam technique is — especially building clear chains of analysis and structured answers in Economics to secure top marks. My goal is to create relaxed, supportive lessons where you feel comfortable asking questions, truly understand the material, and develop the skills needed to succeed in exams.

I take a structured but supportive approach to tutoring, focusing on building strong foundations before moving on to exam technique and application. My lessons are interactive and tailored to each student’s needs — I explain concepts clearly, use real-world examples (especially for economics), and work through practice questions together to build confidence and independent problem-solving skills. I place particular emphasis on exam strategy, past paper practice, and helping students understand how to structure high-mark answers.
Lessons typically last 60–90 minutes, depending on the student’s preference and level. A typical session includes reviewing previous material, learning new content, and applying it through exam-style questions.
I tutor GCSE maths, GCSE economics and A-level Economics. As a university student studying International Development with Economics at the University of Bath, I have a strong academic background in both subjects and recent experience with the exam specifications, which helps me relate closely to students and explain topics in an accessible way. I aim to create a friendly, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
My lessons are suitable for secondary school students (ages 14–18) preparing for GCSEs or A-levels, whether they are aiming to improve their grades, strengthen understanding, or achieve top marks.
