About Angelina
Hi, I'm Angelina!
I am currently a first-year Psychology (Honors) student with a passion for working with children and helping them build confidence in their learning. My studies have given me valuable insight into how children think, learn, and develop, allowing me to adapt my teaching to suit each student's individual needs.
I have always enjoyed Mathematics and have a strong foundation in the subject. I also completed the Kumon Mathematics program for seven years, which helped me develop strong problem-solving skills, discipline, and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. This experience allows me to appreciate the importance of practice, perseverance, and building confidence step by step.
I want to tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping students overcome challenges and achieve their goals. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student gain confidence in their abilities and begin to enjoy a subject they once found difficult.
I am patient, reliable, and committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Whether a student needs extra support, wants to strengthen their foundations, or is looking for an additional challenge, I aim to make learning engaging, enjoyable, and effective.

I am currently a first-year Psychology (Honours) student with a strong passion for education and helping young learners develop confidence in Mathematics. I enjoy working with children and supporting them to build strong foundational skills in a positive and encouraging environment.
My lessons typically run for 45 minutes providing enough time to introduce concepts, work through examples, and allow students to practise independently while receiving guidance and feedback.
One technique I use is guided problem-solving, where I work through examples step-by-step with students before gradually encouraging them to solve problems on their own. I also use interactive whiteboard activities and visual representations to help students understand mathematical concepts in a clear and engaging way.
My teaching methodology is based on individualised learning, meaning I adapt lessons to suit each student's learning style, strengths, and areas for improvement. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and are encouraged to learn at their own pace.
I have experience tutoring primary school students and helping them improve their mathematical understanding and confidence. My lessons are suitable for primary school students of all ability levels, whether they need extra support with classroom content, help preparing for assessments, or extension work to challenge them further.
