About Charlotte
I’m Charlotte. I’m a first year English Literature student at York University. I gained 195/200 in my English Literature A level achieving an A star. I chose to tutor because I struggled with exam anxiety and a lack of self-belief in my own abilities at school and wanted to tutor to help other students reach their full potential no matter their circumstances. I took the OCR syllabus at A level but can tutor to fit any syllabus provided I’m given preparation time for each lesson.

My approach is student-led and will encourage critical thinking skills at the students’ own pace and try to think of relatable arguments and examples to aid them in their understanding. If you are studying with me for A level, I relish the chance to explain critical theories and relevant context as a tool to further your understanding of texts and gain those needed marks.
