About Alice
I am going into my first year at Bristol University having just completed my A-Levels. I studied Maths, Biology and Chemistry and achieved 3A*. I hope to use my recent experience and understanding to help other GCSE, A-Level students or dental applicants that may be going through a similar process.

My approach to tutoring would be friendly, supportive and tailored to each student. Having recently completed my A-levels, I understand first-hand the challenges students face with GCSEs, A-levels and university applications. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, while still working towards clear academic goals.
I would first identify areas the student finds difficult and then break topics down into simple, manageable steps. While aiming to ensure the student understands the content over just memorising it, I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, helping students understand how to approach questions, structure their answers and recognise what examiners are looking for.
Lessons would be 1 hour long, although I am happy to adapt this length depending on the student's needs. A typical lesson may include reviewing previous work, introducing or explaining a new topic and working through exam-style questions together.
Although I am new to professional tutoring, my recent experience as a student means I have a very current understanding of the GCSE and A-level curriculum, revision techniques and examination process. I can also offer guidance and practice for Dental School interviews, including mock interview questions, communication skills and discussing motivation for dentistry.
I offer tutoring for GCSE Maths, Biology and Chemistry, as well as A-level Biology. My lessons are suitable for students from a range of abilities, whether they are looking to build confidence in a subject, improve their understanding of challenging topics, prepare for exams or work towards achieving the highest possible grades.
