About Maria
My name is Maria and my goal is to ensure that young people have the opportunity to develop a strong understanding of hard concepts in mathematics and science. My lessons with you will be engaging and interactive as I encourage my students to ask questions! I strongly believe in prioritising understanding, which is why I will always be patient and take as much time that is needed to make sure you understand the concept as much as possible!

I teach using my iPad as a whiteboard to give visual explanations. My lessons are highly interactive and focused on understanding concepts rather than just remembering them. My lessons are typically in 1-hour blocks. I achieved all A's and A*s at GCSE, and studied Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A level. I am currently in my 2nd year studying chemistry at a Russell Group university, meaning I have a strong background in problem solving, science and maths. I have almost 1 year of experience tutoring GCSE students and my lessons are aimed at year 9, year 10 and year 11 students. However, I also teach maths for students in KS3 and below.
