About Molly
I’m an enthusiastic First Class Neuroscience graduate from the University of St Andrews offering tuition in GCSE Biology, A Level Biology and A Level Psychology. I also offer consultations for students looking to make competitive university applications in these subjects.
I achieved A* A* A in Biology, Psychology and Mathematics at A Level and developed a passion for neuroscience during my degree, gaining two years of lab experience specialising in motor neurone diseases. During this lab experience, I mentored fellow undergraduate and master's students alongside tutoring KS3 Science and Maths online. Teaching across several academic levels at once helped me to tailor content to the student and create a supportive, relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.

My main focus is exam technique - helping students turn their knowledge into marks. I believe strong exam performance comes from both understanding the content and understanding how it is assessed, so I help students identify exactly what questions are asking, apply their knowledge to unfamiliar problems and structure answers to cover all the relevant marking points. Lessons involve working through exam-style questions, breaking down questions to understand what the examiner is looking for, and reviewing answers to identify how they can be improved. I tailor lessons to each student - if there are gaps in your knowledge, we’ll work first on building a strong understanding of the underlying concepts and then translate this into marks.
Lessons are typically one hour, although I’m happy to adapt this depending on the student’s needs. Prices are £35/hr for GCSE and £40/hr for A Level.
