About Erica
Hi! I’m a recent chemistry graduate from Imperial College London (MSci project focused on computational chemistry). I’ve tutored and mentored students throughout my education, as well as taking on various leadership roles. I love encouraging others, building their confidence and helping them recognise just how capable they are. Whether a student is struggling with the basics or aiming for the very top grades, I find it rewarding helping and motivating them to unlock their potential.
I’m a very approachable and friendly person, and I want my students to feel completely comfortable asking questions (even the “silly” ones). I aim to find different ways to explain a concept until it finally click. There’s nothing better than seeing a student have their ‘aha’ moments, or the pride with the progress they’ve made.
Outside of academics, I’m a big fan of dance and music, and generally like throwing myself into lots of different projects. I’m naturally enthusiastic and I try to bring that same energy into my lessons!

My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, whether they want to build confidence, improve their understanding, prepare for exams, or work towards the highest grades.
I focus on helping students develop the understanding and problem-solving skills to tackle questions independently. Homework and past papers will all be utilised to identify gaps in their understanding, as well as any exam/revision technique that could be improved. I’ll provide clear resources to take away from each lesson, along with set work where appropriate to consolidate their learning.
Most importantly, I want there to be an open and positive line of communication throughout, so both the student and parent know what we’re working on, where they’re improving and what we can focus on next.
I can also offer guidance on STEM university applications and choosing courses, drawing on my own experience.
