About Amin
I have always been passionate about learning and teaching mathematics. What I studied in university relied heavily on a solid mathematical background and that led me to tutoring my juniors mathematics in hopes to help them struggle less with the harder concepts whilst filling in my student ambassador working hours.
I enjoy tutoring others mathematics as it came naturally. I also aspire to be someone my tutees could look up to and not give up learning mathematics. In hopes that they don't simply memorize the formula and forget the concept they learned the following year as they might need it to further progress smoothly in their studies.

I am able to teach students the reason why certain mathematical formulas work the way they do or why they are meant to work that way. I believe that a more intuitive idea of how the formula works will provide more understanding in the usage of the formulas and provide a more solid background in maths. Hence, less obstacles moving forward when learning courses involving maths. Other than that, I still believe that exercises are necessary as that enables students to gain experience dealing with newer concepts.
A lesson would usually last for 30 - 60 minutes, even up to 120 minutes depending on the eagerness of the tutee. My qualifications are Foundation in Business and a First Class honours in BSc Actuarial Science. I have been tutoring my fellow juniors ranging from foundation students to second year Actuarial Science students. I am most comfortable with teaching pre-U and under as I understand the concepts and formulas involved more in depth.
