About Meg
Hi! I'm Meg, and I'm an English Literature with Creative Writing graduate and will begin my MA this year. I'm a creative and friendly English Literature tutor.
I've loved English since I first learned to read, and studying it at university level is amazing. Reading more makes you better at writing (and vice versa) so I think I chose the perfect course!
I think that being genuinely passionate about your subject is perfect for tutoring – I want my students to become genuinely interested in the texts we look at instead of feeling like they're being forced to go over literature they can't really engage with.

– I teach lessons in one-hour slots.
– My lessons are for GCSE or A-Level students, and I have experience with the AQA and Edexcel exam boards.
– I create my own colourful visual resources for students that we can use during lessons. I studied an art foundation course before university and am a highly creative person, so it is important to me that my lessons are visually engaging!
– I am happy to help with all aspects of exam preparation, or even just if you are struggling to understand a text.
– I will tailor my lessons to your learning style – do you prefer discussion? Having things explained to you? Writing your ideas down? Producing visual resources?
– I have delivered over 250 hours of lessons and am a rated 5-star tutor on MyTutor, a well-known tutoring platform.
