About Pelumi
I am an Undergraduate Student at the University of Leeds studying Aerospace Engineering - in other words rocket science. I got an A* in Maths both at GCSE and A-Level and have gotten Firsts in my Maths modules at University, so yeah, I can definitely teach you the Maths you want to know!

If you're a Year 11 or 13 student worrying that your grades might not represent your true ability, let's have a conversation. I have methods which are guaranteed to allow students to improve their grades come July.
(Note: these methods are not listed below, the techniques listed below are for those not in Year 11 or 13 and require normal tuition!)
I deliver lessons to students between Year 7 and 13 (though mainly GCSE and A-Level students). I am a patient person, I also do not like the word teaching as that implies that one person listens whilst the other talks, as a tutor, I endeavour to make you understand.
The first 10 minutes of every session is dedicated to determining what is to be targeted that session. I will prompt the topics by asking what the student has covered and what they are struggling with. Usually 1 or 2 targets will be set because more time and attention can be dedicated to fewer topics. We will then proceed to address the topics, totalling 40 minutes: 20 minutes per topic or 40 minutes for 1 topic. In the final 10 minutes, we will do a recap; I will ask the student to demonstrate their understanding by explaining the topics back to me without prompts. This affirms their knowledge, as regurgitation of knowledge prooves that it has been digested.
In my first A-Level Chemsity class my teacher asked us "Do you want an A/A*? Because if you listen to me, you will get one." The confidence. Ridiculous. But I loved it. I shall not ask you what you want, instead I shall tell you that I can get it for you, if you allow me to because it all starts and ends with you.
