About Audrey Cary
I have always enjoyed working with children and young people, particularly helping students become more confident and comfortable with their learning. My experience includes working as an English tutor, teaching assistant and SEND support worker across the UK, Hong Kong and China, which has allowed me to work with students from a wide range of ages, backgrounds and learning needs.
I am patient, approachable and encouraging, and I understand that every student learns differently. I therefore try to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, while still keeping lessons focused and structured.

My tutoring style is patient, supportive and personalised. I adapt lessons to each student’s level and goals, whether they need help improving English, strengthening reading and writing skills, preparing for applications or dissertations, completing homework or building confidence in a subject.
I can offer support in English, literacy, Psychology, academic writing, study skills and general schoolwork. I am also comfortable working with students with SEND and additional learning needs.
I aim to make lessons structured but relaxed, so students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and gradually becoming more independent and confident learners.
