About Aileen
I’m a Natural Sciences Graduate from the University of Cambridge, receiving first class in undergraduate and master’s degrees. I taught Maths and English at a tuition centre for 16 months and worked as a private tutor for Maths and Science. I also worked as an English teacher in China in 2018.

Having known Aileen since university, she has always been extremely conscientious about her work and is always diligently prepared, whether in academic work or otherwise. Aileen is good with people, as well as numbers, so I would recommend her to anyone looking for a friendly and knowledgeable tutor.
Aileen and I studied together at university; she has always been great at breaking down problems and explaining her reasoning, in addition to being incredibly hard-working, punctual and professional. She is reliable and approachable, and will go the extra mile to prepare her sessions to be tailored and engaging for her students!
We have know Aileen for a number of years now and she helped our daughter out hugely at the start of her secondary school; her knowledge, understanding and patience whilst teaching is a true skill, we cannot recommend Aileen highly enough.
Aileen tutored my 12 year old daughter, Maddie, in Science subjects during lockdown. She proved to be reliable, professional and knowledgeable. She helped Maddie overcome a lack of confidence and passed on her enthusiasm in the subject. Maddie went from hating science to loving it! The inital 30 minute consultation will be free of charge so we can discuss what the student would like to gain from our lessons together and plan how we will structure the learning to ensure our time together will deliver the maximum benefit to the student.
After this initial consultation, lessons will be charged at £30/h
