About Henry
I have recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with a First-Class bachelor's degree in History and I am now studying for a master's degree in History of Science. I grew up in Sheffield and attended two state-comps, sitting A-Levels in English Language, History and Geography (achieving A* in all).
As I am currently pursuing postgraduate study, sessions will have to be conducted remotely via Zoom/ Skype/ Teams.

I have experience of mentoring and tutoring other students whilst at sixth form and university. Having studied for my undergrad during covid, I'd like to think that I can relate to students whose teaching and education has been impacted by the pandemic. Even after a disrupted three years, I managed to graduate with a First and my excellent examination results led the College Council to elect me as a King's Scholar. I have also had my work published by the University of California, Berkeley. Thus, I back myself to help other students fill in the gaps and overcome the challenges the pandemic may have brought about.
I am happy to tutor English Language and Geography at both GCSE and A-Level, as well as History at GCSE, A-Level and degree level. I have a good understanding as to what examiners are looking for in all of these subjects and how sudents can elevate their knowledge and application of content as well as their exam technique and structure. Key to my approach is devleoping perosnalised study plans to ensure organised and systematic coverage of course specifications.
As well as English Language, Geography and History, I can also offer tuition in Oxbridge preparation (both entrance examinations and interviews). I was the only student from my cohort to gain an offer from Cambridge and whilst at university I have worked closely alongside my college's outreach and admissions teams, so I am confident that I know what Oxbridge colleges are looking for in future applicants. A key part of this is busting a few myths surrounding Oxbridge!
