About Emily
This summer I graduated from the University of Southampton with a first class degree in Biomedical sciences and I’m going back to university this September to start Graduate Entry Medicine. Having achieved a grade 9 in Maths GCSE and an A at A level, I feel fully equipped to guide students to achieve their goals as well as make it enjoyable in the process!
I have experience in online and face to face tutoring and have a wide knowledge of the GCSE Maths specification.

I like to organise my lessons by discussing the theory of the topic using resources such as textbooks. Following this, I like to explain a few example questions of varying difficulty by describing and writing a full method. After this, I would give some questions that the tutee can attempt with guidance and hopefully by the end of the session complete alone! I like to set a homework worksheet to consolidate the information and keep the methods fresh. In the following session, I like to do a brief recap to build long term memory.
