About Ruby
I am an outgoing and enthusiastic individual that enjoys teaching others about the exciting world of Biology. Alongside studying, I enjoy listening to podcasts to learn about the most recent advances in medicine to enhance my knowledge and seek a deeper understanding in topics I find interesting. These include, the human body and disease and how nutrition and exercise work to help us live a longer and healthier life.

I can teach lessons for 1-2 hours from primary school level, to GCSE and A Level Biology. and will work on explaining any concept that the student is struggling to grasp at that time, through talking or drawing diagrams, depending on how the student learns best. I can go through pass paper practice questions, either provided by myself or the student to ensure they feel confident on answering exam questions. I am also willing to discuss areas of Biology that are out of the syllabus but that the student is interested in learning about. I have au paired for 6 months, where I taught English to 2 Spanish children, ages 5-7. I also taught English to classes in a boarding school in Thailand, for a month, from ages 6-18 years old. During university, I took part in the student mentor scheme, where I went helped first year Biology students go over any concepts that they didn't understand from lectures. All of this experience has provided me with the relevant skills to tutor in a fun and engaging way, to help you excel in your Biology studies.
