About Georgia
I am super passionate and enthusiastic about teaching! I have graduated in 2016, therefore I can relate to and empathise with students as I was recently in their position. After studying Mathematics at A level and Economics at University, I believe I possess the knowledge and ability to teach. Completing my degree required a high level of organisation and time management. My volunteering experience as a Maths tutor allowed me to develop excellent communication skills through my tutoring experience and I believe that I am a good role model for young people. All of my students went on to get successful results and I was able to make a positive impact consistently. I am currently a Finance Manager and ACA qualified, therefore I am constantly refreshing my knowledge of Maths and Accounting day to day.

I am an ACA qualified accountant, graduating from the University of York in 2016 and working for a number of years in Audit and Finance. I have 8 years of volunteering experience in Maths, particularly GCSE level for students and adult learners. My method for teaching is mainly based on what the student is learning in their classes and ensuring we are going at a pace that is comfortable for them. I like to focus on the main difficulties that the student is dealing with and also cover each aspect of the syllabus in preparation for exams. Everything will be covered in depth to make sure students are thoroughly prepared for their exams. My methods for learning have worked for me, so I know it will work for others!
