About Eugene
I am a Final year medical student and an aspiring Anaesthetis tlooking to do some tutoring in my spare time. At school I was particularly interested and excelled in Maths and Physics which is why I am looking to tutor in these subjects.
I am a very friendly and outgoing individual with the patience necessary for tutoring. My passion for the subjects I have chosen to tutor in can be seen when I am tutoring as I am enthusiastic for others to also learn. I understand the importance of hard work and having a strict and effective tutoring method however I also recognise the need for a good rapport and communication. With my wide range of interests including many sports, music and my extensive and slightly useless general knowledge I find myself able to get along with most people
I am also fluent in Cantonese Chinese.
For medical school I had to sit my UKCAT and achieved a very high average score of 818 and would be happy to help with this also.
Between my second and third years of studying medicine I studied Imaging Sciences (Bsc) as an intercalated degree and achieved a first class honours
Experience:
My previous experience in tutoring began at secondary school when I took part in a peer mentoring scheme which involved working with younger students in younger physics classes. When I first started university I tutored privately in Chemistry Biology and Physics. In third year I volunteered with Shine Mentoring which involved going to a local primary school and working with the same individual every week to help his work at school.
I have always enjoyed working with children. When I was fifeteen, 2 friends and I started up a lunchtime football club for the new 1st years to our secondary school. This involved recruiting interested students, arranging them into teams and organising a league for them to compete in every week.
I have also done many other volunteer work unrelated with tutoring

Eugene taught my son A Level maths which he required an A grade in to meet his offer for university biochemistry. His calm and considered methodology of teaching helped my son fulfil his potential after a shaky start to his sixth form maths career. I recommended him to my friends who all had wonderful things to say. As both a knowledgeable and patient person, I hope you'll get to experience his tutelage.
Eugene is a very hard working person. He is very good with people from young children to senior people and often states his satisfaction of working with/interacting with people of varying age groups while on his rotations at med school. He is very knowledgable and is particularly passionate about science. Eugene has helped me with my veterinary degree using his medical knowledge and is always patient and able to adapt his explanations in a way that will help the particular individual understand. I have been part of a sports club that he has been a member of the committee for and he has displayed faultless commitment and great organisational skills.
