About Alice
I love engaging with students and figuring out how to make the best of everyone's unique capabilities. I think that the educational system can often be limiting and I like to do my best as a tutor to inspire confidence and curiosity, regardless of ability.
As well as tutoring, I previously worked as a teaching assistant in a Hong Kong secondary school, where I taught classes and held English clinics.
Qualifications: A* in English Literature at GCSE and A level. A in Maths at GCSE and AS level.

Hello! :) I'm Alice, a final year student at Exeter University, where I study English Literature and Classics.
I am currently tutoring remotely for English (up to A Level) and Maths (up to GCSE), over Zoom/Teams. I can do 30 minute - 2 hour long sessions and generally have a flexible schedule to accommodate any specific requirements.
I am very passionate about the power of good teachers. I like to tailor my approach to the needs of the individual and their learning abilities.
I also understand how learning difficulties can impact concentration, motivation, and processing - and I like to work with students to ensure they not only understand content and exam technique, but also develop learning and study skills that are personal to them, and that will carry them through their education beyond our tutoring sessions.
