About Jennifer
I love studying maths as it is applicable to so many problems in life, and the skills you learn are so transferrable. I tutored Maths, English and Science from reception up to GCSE during lockdown and absolutely loved it, and it inspired me to maybe become a teacher one day! Taking exams at school could be a stressful time, however, I found if I prepared early and spread out the workload, I felt more prepared and less stressed just before the exam. Revising with friends was really useful as we could ask each other questions which really highlighted the key areas you needed to study. In my free time, I like cooking and hanging out with friends, I love playing the piano and am working towards grade 8!

I will spend the initial session getting to know your child, finding out what topics to focus on and how they learn. We will then be focusing on the problem areas and be learning through interactive tasks, building confidence in learning processes and developing study habits. I encourage lots of questions, no question is ever stupid it's how we learn! I found that during my A-levels I found that the thing that helped me most was doing practice papers and teaching other people the content. I found that learning how to answer exam-style questions was a key part of acing my exams.
