About Luwanda
Hello, and thank you for considering me as your tutor! My name is Anda Buthi, and I’m a final-year Bachelor of Education student, specializing in the Intermediate Phase (Grades 4–7). I’ve spent the past few years gaining hands-on experience in real classrooms, teaching and supporting learners in English First Additional Language, Natural Sciences and Technology, Life Skills, and Social Sciences. I take tutoring seriously and approach every lesson with professionalism, patience, and a clear plan. My goal is always to help learners understand their work deeply—not just memorize it. I tailor my teaching style to suit each learner’s needs, whether they need help building a foundation or want to strengthen what they already know. I teach in English, and while I specialize in Intermediate Phase learners, I’m also more than willing to support Senior Phase students, especially in subjects aligned with my strengths. With me, you can expect structured lessons, consistent feedback, and a learning space where it’s okay to make mistakes and ask questions. My aim is to help learners feel confident, capable, and motivated to succeed. I look forward to supporting your learning journey!

As a final-year Bachelor of Education student specialising in the Intermediate Phase, my approach to tutoring is clear, supportive, and focused on each learner’s needs. I teach in a way that helps learners truly understand their work—not just memorise it. My lessons are based on the CAPS curriculum and always adapted to suit the learner’s pace, learning style, and goals.
I offer tutoring in English First Additional Language, Natural Sciences and Technology, Life Skills, and Social Sciences. I teach in English and focus on making learning accessible, engaging, and relevant to real life.
A typical lesson with me includes a quick recap to check what the learner already understands, step-by-step teaching of the topic, practical tasks or activities to apply their knowledge, and time for questions or clarification. I also share tips and strategies learners can use in class and during assessments.
My lessons are primarily aimed at learners in Grades 4 to 7, but I am more than willing to create and tailor lessons for Senior Phase learners as well, especially in subjects aligned with my strengths.
What makes me different is my practical classroom experience, my patient and encouraging teaching style, and my genuine passion for helping learners build confidence and succeed at their own pace
