About Kishore
Head Coach (Jan, 2002 - Present) at Golden Chess Centre (Chennai)
I conduct online chess classes from Beginner levels to Advanced level students using real world examples for easy understanding and learning.
I have an experience of over 25 years in playing and 18 years in teaching Chess.
When I first started learning chess in 1994, there was no proper guidance or resources at that time as Internet was unheard of in that decade and there were no shops or malls that sold Chess books.
By the year 1998 I acquainted myself with computers and Internet and slowly the world of chess learning exploded. Many gateways opened up and I soaked in the chess atmosphere for many hours daily.
Now when I look back I realize that, had if there were chess coaches available that time, I would have learnt it smart rather than merely the hard way. But I have no qualms... nothing goes in vain.
To fill that void I took up teaching chess in 2002 and soon I started getting serious players knocking my doors for training. Some were even older than me!
My passion for chess is now focused more on imparting this smart learning to my students. After all the best teacher is experience and this experience has reflected in my personalized syllabus too. I don't believe in old school methods where one size fits all.
I believe in hacking the chess training on individual needs.

For the pure beginners, I first make sure they enjoy the rapport with me. Teaching will be more effective if the bonding with the child is pure. Once they reach the Beginner level the the real fun starts.
I give practical training about the middlegame and basic endgames in a easy to understand manner.
For Intermediate tournament player, I can provide chess opening repertoire suggestions, teach strategic concepts, curated for the style and level of the student.
Apart from applying the training to chess, improvement in concentration level is also emphasized.
In Online Chess training my focus is on mastering tactics, developing intuition and positional understanding of all facets of the chess game.

Fees for post Beginners / Intermediates / Advanced / will be higher.
Fees depend on the level of the Student. Time Zones will also be a factor.
I will consider variation in fees on genuine personal requests only.
For Tournament players I would like to see the past games to find out the weak spots and work on them.
I also provide relevant Worksheet PDFs on request at additional charges.
All Classes are ONLINE only = via SKYPE/ZOOM/BOTIM/GMeet (due to Covid restrictions).
