About Jade
With over 11 years of tutoring experience, I specialize in teaching Guitar to college students who want to learn music in a simple, enjoyable, and meaningful way. I believe that Guitar learning works best when students feel supported and when lessons match their personal interests. For this reason, I design each class thoughtfully, focusing on comfort, clarity, and creativity. I teach core Guitar techniques such as chord transitions, strumming patterns, scales, rhythm control, fingerstyle, and melodic playing. Along with technical skills, I teach the basics of music theory in a friendly and easy-to-understand manner. My goal is to help students play confidently while also understanding the deeper structure of music. One of the innovative approaches I use is personalized “song-based learning plans.” Each student picks songs they love, and I connect those songs to the skills we are learning. This method helps students stay motivated and also shows them the practical use of every technique. I also use practice loops, slow-tempo walkthroughs, and visual memory guides to make learning smooth. My teaching style is patient, interactive, and positive. I break down tough topics into small steps and make sure students understand each part before moving forward. I encourage questions, discussions, and creativity because I want students to feel relaxed and confident during lessons. I also include improvisation exercises, rhythm challenges, and small composition tasks to help students think musically rather than just follow instructions. I guide them in developing their own sense of style and expression. My mission as a Guitar tutor is to help each student grow steadily and discover joy in playing. Whether they aim to perform, create music, or simply learn for fun, I support their goals with care and enthusiasm.
