About Oriana
Hello! I’m a New Yorker writer with Dominican roots who uses creative writing to explore identity, culture, sexuality, fiction, and everything in between.
I love poetry and helping others discover their own voice through raw, honest expression while still understanding structure. I believe good writing doesn’t need to be complicated or pretentious to be powerful.

Bring a poem, short story, unfinished idea, or simply the desire to write. No experience required.
I use creative writing to explore identity, culture, sexuality, fiction, and everything in between. My approach centers on sensory writing, free verse, and raw expression in an encouraging, non-academic space—no rigid textbook rules. We’ll focus on finding your voice, using sensory detail, breaking through writer’s block, and trimming the excess without losing what makes your writing yours.
I’m a certified TEFL teacher and former K–12 NYC Public Schools teaching assistant with experience working with students from different backgrounds and learning levels.
