Hi students. My approach to teaching is to meet you at your level and work around your pace. Objective: By the end of the lesson, the student will be able to improve their understanding and use of [chosen topic, e.g., vocabulary, grammar, speaking, writing, etc.]. 1. Warm-up (5 minutes) Activity: Casual conversation to check in with the student. Example Questions: How was your day? Have you learned any new words or phrases this week? Purpose: Build rapport and get the student comfortable. 2. Introduction to the Lesson Topic (5 minutes) Objective: Set the focus for the lesson. Activity: Briefly introduce the topic of the lesson. Example: "Today, we're going to work on present simple tense." "Today, we will learn some new vocabulary related to food." 3. Main Lesson Activity (20 minutes) Activity 1: Explanation of the topic. Provide a clear explanation of the lesson concept. Use examples that are relevant to the student's level. Example for Grammar Topic (Present Simple Tense): "I eat breakfast every morning" (subject + verb) "She doesn't like pizza." Activity 2: Practice (Interactive). For Grammar: Ask the student to form sentences using the target structure. For Vocabulary: Have the student use new words in sentences. Provide corrective feedback as needed. Activity 3: Quizzes or short exercises. Multiple-choice questions or fill-in-the-blank exercises. Encourage the student to answer actively and explain why they made certain choices. 4. Speaking/Discussion Practice (10 minutes) Objective: Apply the new knowledge in conversation. Activity: Have a discussion or role-play using the target language. Example for Vocabulary: Role-play a conversation in a restaurant using new food-related words. Example for Grammar: Have a conversation where the student practices present simple tense (e.g., "What do you do every morning?"). 5. Wrap-up and Review (5 minutes) Activity: Summarize key points of the lesson. "Today, you learned how to use the present simple tense for daily activities." For Vocabulary: “We practiced using new food-related words in sentences." Homework/Practice (Optional): Assign some light practice for the student to do before the next lesson. Example: Write five sentences using the present simple tense or learn five new vocabulary words. 6. Closing (1-2 minutes) Activity: Say goodbye, and remind the student of the next lesson or homework. Example: “Great work today! See you next time. Have a good day!” Lessons are for first-time English speakers and budding writers. People with Secondary-Level education.
