About Stephen
I am an experienced Biology educator with over 20 years of teaching and leadership experience in leading international schools, including UWCSEA Singapore and The Global College Madrid. I have taught IB Biology, A-Level and IGCSE Biology, and have supported students in gaining places at leading universities worldwide. Alongside my teaching, I am a published educational researcher and current PhD candidate at the University of Plymouth. My passion is helping students develop confidence, deepen their understanding of Biology and achieve their academic goals.

My tuition is tailored to the individual needs of each student. Drawing on over 20 years of experience teaching Biology in leading international schools, I focus on building deep understanding, confidence and effective exam technique. Lessons are engaging, supportive and structured around each student's goals, whether that is improving grades, preparing for IB Biology examinations, or gaining entry to competitive university courses such as Medicine or Veterinary Science.
Rather than relying on memorisation alone, I help students develop a clear conceptual understanding of Biology, enabling them to think critically, apply their knowledge and succeed in assessments. My aim is not only to improve academic performance, but also to help students become more confident and independent learners.
