About Chelsea
I am a guitar teacher who loves playing music and wants to share that fun with my students. I know that the guitar is an instrument you can enjoy for your whole life, and I try to make learning it just as fun as playing it. I have played for many years, so I have lots of practical tips to help you sound better. I am patient and friendly, and I really want to help you find your own unique style.
I am good at explaining things simply for beginners and helping players who feel stuck get to the next level. I have guided many students from their first simple chords to playing full songs and understanding how music is written. We will set goals together that you can actually reach, whether that’s playing for friends or learning a cool solo. I am also happy to answer questions about guitar gear and sound.
My main goal is to help you become a musician who can keep learning and playing on your own. It makes me really happy to see a student's eyes light up when they finally nail a song. I am dedicated to helping you grow as a guitar player and look forward to our lessons. Let’s make some noise and have a good time.

My guitar lessons balance learning the right techniques with having fun playing music. I focus on making sure you hold the guitar and place your hands correctly from the very start so you don't get hurt or pick up bad habits. Whether we are learning fingerpicking or loud strumming, I plan my lessons to help your fingers memorise the movements step-by-step. I believe in explaining why music works, teaching you a bit of theory so you understand the instrument, not just the songs.
We will spend time working on rhythm and timing, which is the most important part of sounding good. I also focus on training your ears so you can recognise chords and eventually figure out songs just by listening to them. We will learn by playing songs you actually like, using them to practise the technical stuff. I change my lessons to match the kind of music you enjoy, while making sure you learn all the basic skills.
I am here to support you through the beginning stages when your fingers might hurt a little and chord changes feel slow. We will break down hard solos or strumming patterns into small, easy pieces, celebrating every little improvement. I keep the lessons relaxed so you feel comfortable trying new things and maybe even writing your own music. My goal is to give you the tools to pick up a guitar anywhere and play with confidence.
