About Tali
I am a highly trained and experienced educator, who has a Masters Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Teachers College, Columbia University. I worked in international education for the State Department in several countries, working directly with the ministers of education, created a national curriculum of English for the primary schools, trained teachers in best practices, held workshops in several countries, revised college access programs for a non-profit in Los Angeles, oversaw a mentoring program for middle and high school age students in Los Angeles, and was a Senior Education Officer for an international NGO based in Los Angeles.

My teaching and teacher training methodology is completely learner-centered. I base my approach to all teaching and training on PPP- Presentation, Practice, Production. In every lesson or unit, my students or teachers apply what they have learned to a lesson or exercise they create. If they are learning a language, I have them utilize what they have learned in meaningful communication, so that it has multiple means of being acquired. I am also acutely aware of varied learning abilities, some being audio learners, others visual, and some kinetically. I utilize all sensory modes possible so that the new language is more completely acquired. I also emphasize independent learning so that the learner not only learns the target language being taught, but also strategies for acquiring new language independently.
