About Emily
A certified exercise physiologist with over 30 years’ experience in the health fitness industry. I’m an All-American Gymnast with an extensive background in wellness, dance and athletics. I believe that movement is medication, our bodies were meant to move. Every new season in our lives means new possibilities, an approach to fitness that moves and adapts with our lives. What does strong look like in your season? What is the next step into your fullest, healthiest future? I design your fitness plan around your uniqueness, incorporating nutrition, stress management and self-care for your long-term, holistic wellbeing. No matter what season you are in my commitment is the same: To creatively help you discover the strongest you.
I started teaching group fitness and personal training when I was in Graduate school. Prior to that I coached gymnastics starting at the age of 15

Initial 15 minute phone conversation to determine if it's a good fit based on your goals and what I can offer you.
I've worked with most demographics over the course of my career. Fom elite athletes to beginnners, underweight to obese, children all the way up to bedridden seniors, pregnant women, healthy people as well as those dealing with disease such as cancer, MS, arthritis etc. Have also worked with individuals after completeing their PT rehabilitation from an injury.
I think several factors should be considered when hiring a private trainer; price, location, trainer's education, certifications and experience. It's also important that you like this person and feel both comfortable and receptive to their coaching style.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Probably the most important question is the "why" behind your goals. Having a great reason and purpose for doing this will help to keep you focused.
How bad do you want the results because a trainer can only provide directions, instructions and inspiration but what we can not give you is the "want to" and "drive" that will keep you focused when we are not with you.
Do you want a quick fix or a lifestyle change? If the pain of where you are feels worse than the pain you anticipate to change the situation then you're a good candidate for personal training.
