About Maggie
I believe yoga is for everyone. We practice with the body we have, not the body we wish to have. Meeting ourselves where we are is the first step in showing up. The physcial practice of yoga is one small aspect of a larger system to guide us into stillness, with mind, body and being. Yoga, when practice, pepvides us a way of living in which we can slow down and start to understand how our bodies and minds work together and just how power that can be.
I have trained in Ashtanga yoga at Only Yoga in Mintown, Atlanta in 2015. I am currently in Highland Yogas 200 training for vinyasa and power flow. I wanted to become a teacher to spread the joy and happiness that you can come back to time and time again through the practice of yoga.
I have been a practitioner of yoga since 2014. I currently am in a 200 yoga training which will alloe me to be certified through Yoga Alliance.

Just like in all yoga classes, we start slow amd establosh the breath. The pace increasingly gets faster until it reaches a peak, then we bring it down again. With beginners there's an emphasis on alignment cues as well as breath cues. Its important for begingers to feel comfortable and as if the class is doable. We do this by providing modifications and bringing in props to help the body reach alignment in poses.
Beginner, teachers in training, advanced practitioners and teachers. I believe everyone has something to offer where they are in their journey.
There's a lot to know when it comes to yoga, so knowing what you want to get out of your class and from your instructor is important. Everyone has a different message or a different way of delivering information. Narrowing down which type of class the instructor is capable to provide is a good place to start.
I am all for and support the "March for your Lives" event and think the youth activists are strong and empowering. Youth grows up to be in charge and govern and i believe the push back starts with healthy strong minds.
